Present but not seen,
Cast out before birth,
Made to flourish faster,
Fight harder,
Adapt imminently.

Not by choice, but out of necessity..

The unspoken but ever so present doctrine that must be followed,
Not to be considered equal,

Expected to work twice as hard for half of what is earned.

"Curb your enthusiasm" - they say,
ASSIMILATE

The word BLACK ..
A color,
A people,
An abstraction,
Misconstrued and misappropriated faction of life.

Contentious in connotation..
Black rapes..
Black murders..
Black is barbaric..
Black is the occult..
Black should be, in and of itself, eradicated - they say

Who is "they?"

They is the institutions, the constructs and archetypes, the preconceived notions,
They is a socially accepted venom,
They is who tells what is beautiful,
They is who dictates love,
They is the quantification of how black is allowed to exist,
They is organized chaos.
